Like a Ton of Bricks: Daniel Fast

Good Evening Farho's,

I first want to thank you for creating such an easy to read web site that is so inviting. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Moments ago, I was on my face, hands and knees, crying out to God in prayer for the healthy recovery of one of my best friends. Exactly one week ago, he was involved in a very bad car accident that has left him unconscious though responsive, in ICU. I was praising God for the blessings he has heaped on me and my family, and asking for God's blessing over my friend and his family, as well as his salvation. That's when the thought hit me like a ton of bricks: Daniel Fast.

Is it acting in faith, in accordance with God, to do a Daniel fast for a friends recovery and salvation? An urgent reply is greatly appreciated.
Caroline
Thank you for your encouragement Caroline.

Fasting with an attitude of love and to God's glory, is always in accordance with His will. We strongly encourage you to do the Daniel Fast and to pray for the healing of your friend. Let your life overflow with thanks to God for the healing, even before it happens. Unfortunately, our timing isn't always God's timing. Even Daniel prayed long and hard for 21 days for God to move His hand, but the spiritual battle took time and the answer was slow to come. Daniel 10:13 At other times, God answers immediately.
