Was vegetarian for 7 years
Hello Mike & Sue
Thank you for your reply.
I was vegetarian for 7 years (from 14-21) ,when I was 21 I had a cysts in my womb and my doctor said I needed surgery, a friend of mine told me to try the vegan diet. I decided to try it and postponed the surgery. since I was a vegetarian already ,I had to eliminate from my diet only the eggs and the dairy products.
I went back to my doctor 2 months later for a follow up, sure enough the cyst had disappeared.
I continued the vegan diet till l got pregnant with my first son, I was 29 years.during the first trimester I was weak, I almost miscarried the baby, my body was asking for animal protein( I guess because of the deficiencies (of iron omega 3 ,calcium etc..) ...I found my self preparing steak for breakfast..
After being a vegan for 8 years (without taking any supplements) I became the other extreme, I ate mainly beef, sea food ,dairy products, I guess every thing my body was missing. Eventually my son was born premature (at 30 weeks of my pregnancy)
I know the vegan is good for healing, it saved me from a surgery, however a person on this diet for a long period of time should be very cautious, should listen to his body, read about nutrition and make sure to take the right supplements.
I would like to join your prayer team.
Thank you
