Raw or Cooked?

Sweet potato

I am doing the Daniel Fast for ten days. I would like to know if there is anything that specifically says whether or not you can cook vegetables or if you have to eat them raw. Julia
Good question Julia. There are good reasons to eat your food raw, but that is not a requirement of the Daniel Fast. Read more about raw food in the Hallelujah Diet Books. You may cook your Daniel Fast foods, if you so desire.

Food Addiction and Emotional Eating

"I need deliverance from food addiction and emotional eating including anger/intolerance/control. My husband and I are separated, my children are in bondage and I am in debt. My ministry needs much help and support. Please pray for my grandchildren and my mother, brothers and sisters are having health problems. God bless. This is my first Daniel Fast." Name withheld
Dear Heavenly Father. So many of us are experiencing these same issues. Heal each one with Your mighty power. Give us self control from your Holy Spirit. In Jesus name we pray. Amen!

Thank God for the Daniel fast!!!

Sguardo in alto...
Image by Alessandro Pinna via Flickr
"I have been on this fast for 4 days now (which I commited to doing 7 days)and I can truly say that I have been tempted to go back to my regular way of living. The more I have been tempted the more I have been praying and asking God for help. Since being on this fast I have been able to hear God clearly and he has told me the things that I need to work on within myself. I understand now that my eyes are the open doorway to sin and doing things outside the will of God. Thank God for the Daniel fast!!! My life will never be the same." Name withheld

Kim's Whole Grain Breakfast

Hello again, I just wanted to share something that I have found that I like to eat for breakfast or lunch during the Daniel fast. Smuckers Natural Peanut Butter (ingredients Peanuts and salt - but you have to stir it real good because the oil all rises to the top, then refrigerate and the oil wont return) & thinly sliced banana on either an organic
Brown Rice Cake (ingredients Organic Whole Grain Brown Rice and salt)or on a Ryvita Whole Grain Rye Crispbread (ingredients Whole Grain Rye Flour, Sesame Seeds, and Salt). I like it best on the crispbread but really both are good. Its also quick and easy to prepare at home or at my desk at work. I also like popcorn popped in canola oil with salt. I just pop it in a pan like mom used to do before the microwave was invented :0) Kim by iPhone
