Kasey's Blueberry Citrus Oatmeal Recipe

"I love breakfast, but was having a hard time stomaching plain oatmeal even with heaping spoons of cinnamon. This recipe utilizes the natural sugars in fruits and now I look forward to breakfast and wanted to share the recipe!" Kasey

Ingredients:
  • 1/2 cup frozen blueberries
  • 1/2 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Put frozen blueberries in a microwave-safe container in the microwave for 1 minute. 
  • Crush some of the berries to make blueberry juice. 
  • Add oatmeal, orange juice, water, and cinnamon to the blueberries. 
  • Heat in microwave on high for 1 minute 45 seconds. 
  • Mix together. 
  • Let cool for 2 minutes. 
  • ENJOY!!!

Marcy's cinnamon tea

My church family and I are starting the Daniel fast and I wanted to share some options we are using.

Instead of coffee or tea, we are using cinnamon tea. You can find the sticks at any grocer or health food store. Boil till reddish and keep adding water each time you run out till no red is in the water. I usually drink cinnamon tea for a whole week before I use new sticks. Great Detoxer. I also use Orange or Lemon tree leaves. Boil for 20 min. and drink with honey. Also, we like spearmint leaf tea. Also found in health food stores, or you can grow your own. Very hearty growers. Boil and drink with honey.

All of these Teas can be had either hot or cold on ice.
