Armoured vehicle

Thank you for praying and asking your friends to pray. Cote d'Ivoire is still calm today. The USA decided, Saturday, NOT to evacuate their embassy personnel. That was good news. They are still allowing those who would like to return to the USA to leave. We in the and most other missions feel the situation is under control and plan to stay.

President Gbagbo

Pray that this peace would hold and that the new President, Laurent Gbagbo (pronounced bag-bo) would be able to bring reconciliation between ethnic groups. He will have his hands full!

Pray for John and I (John's school is closed until January 2001) as we drive down to Abidjan Wednesday morning for two days of Field Leadership Team meetings. David Belle Isle and Steve Nehlsen will also be driving down. That road is very dangerous and there is always at least one close call.

Pray for Pastor Daniel, the national director of Alliance Radio. He should be getting permission from the new government soon for our FM radio stations. If the peace holds, we could be installing them soon.
