Farho August Prayer Blog
"How could anyone live in one house for 30 years?" Sue Farho as we are putting the finishing touches on our 26th home in 18 years.
Pray for John at ICA as he is the Student Senate treasurer. He is now a junior in high school. He is taking two honors classes and one advanced placement class, among all his other classes and sports!
"There are so many flavors! Was Lebanon like this?" Sue asking Mike if the culture in Lebanon is as varied as it is in Cote d'Ivoire.
Yes, it is. Both countries are much alike in that respect. Over a small distance in either country, you will find a dramatic difference in the way people live. Pray for us as we learn the "new" Lebanese culture and Arabic language in Abidjan. We want to effectively communicate the love and salvation of Jesus in the power of the Holy Spirit.
"Food tastes really good when you are hungry." John at supper late one night.
Pray for John and all the other International worker Kids (MKs) who are returning to school in Bouake at ICA this week. They are flying and driving from many African countries. This is always a stressful time of transition. Bad roads and cancelled flights can make it very difficult. Your prayers can make a huge difference. We will also be passing the radio and guest house batons to David and Laura Belle Isle this week. Thanks for praying!
"One always knows the right thing to do. The hard part is doing it." Gen. Norman Swcharzkopf
We moved to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire on August 1, 2002. The hard part now is getting unpacked and settled in. We need you to pray for us to have the strength to get the work done. We already miss our friends in Bouake, but we look forward to making new Lebanese friends here in Abidjan. Pray for divine appointments.
