"This is a terrible catastrophe!" Fauzi

On Christmas Day, a charter plane crashed in Benin. More than 95 Lebanese people died. They were on their way from several West African countries to visit their families. Friends and family of our friends were on the flight. We cannot imagine the pain of the families who lost their loved ones. Pray that God would comfort them and give them hope in Jesus. Pray for John, who will be flying to Omaha on New Years Day. May God give you a safe 2004!!

"I see Johnny! I see Johnny!" Joshua

Joshua, Sue and I are thrilled to see John again in Africa. Thanks to your prayers, he made it safely, with no major problems. Late flights made connections with flights exciting, but none were missed! May God give you a wonderful Christmas as well. Please continue to pray for peace here in Cote d'Ivoire. Pray for Philemon in Daloa, as he is having a special Noel celebration with our Muslim Background Believers.

"Africa is no longer my home." Aileen

Aileen is one of many international workers we miss from before the war here. Many international workers and Ivorians grieve the loss of their friends and homes in Cote d'Ivoire. On the other hand, we are grateful to tell you that the provided John with a round trip ticket to come see us for Christmas. He will arrive here Monday night. Pray for his safe travels and two-week visit with us. We are all so excited. Thanks too for praying my fatigue away last week! PTL!!! :-)

"Mary chose to obey God." Abouna Ziad

God asked Mary to be the mother of Jesus. What a request! Some days, like today, we wonder how we can ever learn to read and speak Arabic. But that is what God asked us to do, to better share His love and Good News with Lebanese. Pray that God would give us that same courage He gave Mary. Pray for me, Mike, that God would give me relief from the extreme fatigue I have had the last couple of days.

"Let's pack everything up and move to Dakar!" Joshua

Joshua said the reason why he wants to move to Dakar is to be near his MK friends Noah and Dakota. They moved to Dakar early this year, because of the war here. They are in Abidjan for a one week visit. Joshua wants to play with their cool toys. We would enjoy getting a Christmas card from you. Include a photo if you can. Pray that God would give us good ideas how to share Christ during this Advent season.
