March 2005 Farho Prayer Blog

He is Risen, He is risen indeed! Happy Easter from missionnaries Mike, Sue, John, and Josh Farho.

Because you prayed, we have some answers from the C&MA about ministry in Senegal. Our C&MA Board of Managers approved the opening of Senegal as an Alliance field of ministry. The new field director will be moving there this summer. So it looks more promising that we will be able to minister to Lebanese there in Dakar. Yesterday, we enrolled Joshua in the Dakar Academy for school next year.

3/27/2005 is Easter Sunday

"The Christ is Risen! He is Risen Indeed!" Is the Lebanese Easter greeting. The words in Arabic are pronounced, "Al Masih kam! Hakan kam!"

Many have asked if we will return to Abidjan. It is clear that we will not return to Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire. Where will we go? We can't give you a definite answer yet. It looks like we will be appointed to Dakar, Senegal this summer. Dear Lord, give Mike and Sue patience as they wait on You to work out the details of their future ministry!

"You were in Montana on a mission!" Mina, our aerobic step instructor at the gym. She was right. And I am glad to be home again. Praise God for time today to unpack my bags, exercise with Sue, pillow fight with Josh, enjoy a cup of coffee with Sue at Barnes and Noble and to prepare for my chapels tomorrow and Thursday at Omaha Christian Academy.

Greetings from Helena, Montana. This is the last week of my spring tour. Pray for Joshua, who is suffering with sinus trouble. He was in such agony last night, Sue had to take him to the emergency room at 11:00 PM. Dear Lord, heal Joshua and strengthen Sue. Help Mike to avoid the flu and to finish this last week of tour in Helena strong and for Your glory.

Praise God with us for a great week in Lewistown, for wonderful weather this whole tour (Ten degrees warmer than Omaha almost every day!), many young people and adults giving their lives to God, willing to go overseas short and/or long term. Pray for health to stay good during my last two weeks of ministry in White Sulphur Springs, MT Feb.28 Mar.6/05 and Helena, MT. Mar.7 Mar.13/05. Pray for my 49th birthday on March 23rd. It will be great to be home with my family. Please visit our Info pages to see some photos from these weeks of tour in Montana.
