Hussein needs heart surgery!

When I stopped by his restaurant to visit him tonight I asked, "Where is Hussein?" His daughter replied, "Gone to Lebanon for heart and knee surgery." I was shocked. We both turned 50 last month. Hussein knows the Good News, but He doesn't know Jesus. It is possible that he won't need the heart surgery, but he still needs spiritual heart surgery. Dear Heavenly Father, please heal Hussein's heart and give him spiritual heart surgery.

I thank God for your courage and commitment and each time I hear from you via my e-mail, I say a prayer for your continued health and work. Tonight, I have asked our Father to knock once again at Hussein's heart. I pray that he is made physically well and also that he comes to a realization about Christ.

Al Massih kam! He is Risen!

He is risen! He is risen indeed!

April 18, 2006

In Aramaic, we say, "Al Massih kam! Hakan kam!" What a great celebration held around the world! Skeptics may doubt his birth, but sign their checks with the number of years since His birth. We celebrate and proclaim this Christ the Messiah of the world. Jews and Muslims await the coming of the mighty Messiah King. We celebrate His resurrection and await His second coming.

John in Iraq

Many have asked about John in Iraq. We thank you for your love and prayers for him. He is in a very dangerous area. He has access to e-mail and postal services. John says he needs items for entertainment during his off hours. If you send him magazines, books or DVDs, he would appreciate them. Contact us for more information.

Hannah said,
"We're going to Bouake!"

April 11, 2006

Do you ever get good news that feels like bad news? We've got a lot of good/bad news lately. It was good news to hear that Radwan left last Saturday to be with his family for a few weeks in Lebanon. It is good news to hear that Ali, Hyame, Hannah, Diana, Nadine and Yassine will be together again as a family in Bouake. It feels like bad news, because we will miss them all so much. They will also miss Ramon Sanchez who is coming back to Abidjan next week for stadium evangelism and for prayer and visits with us to Lebanese friends.

Heavenly Father, we ask you to guide and protect all of these families traveling. Give Ramon another very fruitful visit to Abidjan.

I know it is hard to see good friends leave even if you know their going is for the best for them. Your latest pictures were interesting. What a different world!! May the Lord continue to bless you and the many you are touching through your ministry. Have a blessed Easter.

Preaching at Dakar Academy

April 4, 2006

It was a great visit here in Dakar. Josh and I have been running around making visits all day everyday. Sue can't wait to get home to Abidjan Thursday afternoon. Please pray as we are at Dakar Academy tomorrow to share my testimony and our ministry with the high school students. Dear Lord Jesus, open hearts to know You as best friend and Savior. May many students commit or recommit their lives to serving You around the world.

See our new slide shows, Senegal horse carts and Cote d'Ivoire streets, at www.photos.farho.net.

Your Cote d'Ivoire streets slide show made me homesick for Abidjan. I really liked the photos of the Senegal horse carts.

You are on my prayer list daily. I am thankful for your concern for the lost and your willingness to go to tell the lost in foreign fields about Christ. Your email helps me know how to pray for your special needs. Love in Christ,
