Joshua has Malaria
Tue, 27 Nov 2007
We do all we can to avoid Malaria, including daily and weekly medicine and avoiding being outdoors from sunset to sunrise. On occasion that isn't enough. This morning Joshua woke up with a severe headache and a temperature. By 9:30 he was already on a Malaria cure. It was a difficult day with screams of agony interposed with retching. Joshua is now sleeping fitfully.
Heavenly Father, We ask You to touch Joshua's body with Your healing hand. Destroy these dangerous parasites that are battling against his body. Give him a healthy day tomorrow.Learn more about Malaria
Happy Thanksgiving from Abidjan
Tue, 20 Nov 2007
We're so grateful to have you as our prayer partner! We see miracles daily that we can't even name, because they are changed lives that would be put in danger. God hears your prayers and answers them!
Your prayers are needed for Lebanon. This could be the week when lasting peace spouts or civil war explodes. Thursday Nov. 22 is an important deadline and also Lebanon's Independence Day.
Dear Lord, You are the Prince of Peace. We ask You to plant the seed of lasting peace in Lebanon. Free Lebanon from the slavery of civil war.
Youssef's cancer is dead
Tue, 13 Nov 2007
Youssef knows God answered your prayers! The international worker doctor in Ghana was able to remove 25% of his cancer. The very strange thing is that all the cancer cells are dead. How could this lung cancer, that appeared since last year's physical, now be dead? God answered your prayers!
Before Youssef went to Ghana last week, one of his younger friends teased him saying, "You're in great health. I'll die before you will." That man died of a brain aneurysm a few days later, without Christ.
Heavenly Father we thank you for healing Youssef. Help him as he continues to go through these treatments to remove the dead cancer cells over the next two months. Comfort this grieving family that lost their husband and father.
Rabiya died yesterday in Burkina Faso
Tue, 06 Nov 2007
Thanks to your prayers, Rabiya died in his mother's arms. She is 85 years old and gets about in a wheelchair. This evening I prayed with Youssef, before he flew to Ghana for his cancer treatments. He will have four days of treatments, each lasting from 3 to 5 hours. They will attempt to remove the cancer with an oral probe equipped with a camera and a laser.
Joshua and I just got home from watching yesterday's Steelers vs Ravens NFL football game on videotape with some other international worker guys. Sue was at her international worker women's Bible study across the street.
Heavenly Father, protect Youssef as he travels. Use the international worker doctor to heal his lung cancer, or even to find it is already healed!
