Gospel wasn't Good News for Fahed and Sami
"The Gospel is only Good News if it arrives on time." Carl F. H. Henry
Fahed and Sami are two Lebanese men who died last weekend. Fahed loved his family deeply. We had an appointment to pray with him Friday morning. I was sure in my heart he would open his arms to Jesus as Savior. His pancreatic cancer took his life just one hour before our visit. Sami was a new arrival to Abidjan. He was a computer geek/genius. But he couldn't find work. He wrote a bad check for several thousand dollars. He overdosed on pills, on his second day in prison.
Heavenly Father, use Mike and Sue to bring the Good News to many Lebanese in Abidjan. Comfort Fahed's ten children as they grieve the loss of their beloved father. Heal Hyame as she grieves the loss of her brother and recovers from the Malaria that hit her hard Saturday after Fahed's funeral.

I will pray you will be a good support & witness to all of the family members.
My family and I come into agreement with you and your team that God will use you mightily to minister His love and Gospel to the people of Abidjan and surrounding areas. Be open to Holy Spirit, Go when He says Go! Be ready to move in a very unusual manner. All for the Glory and Honor of the Father.

praying for good news to fall/seep into the current and future generations from these events. If only we realized how precious and short life really is.
Yes Father,
We do lift up the loved ones of Fahed and Sami. Draw them unto Yourself.
In Jesus' name,
Amen
Mike
I am saddened by this news. I will keep all in prayer.
We are always sad when we here of other soul who did not find the Lord our Savior, we always want everyone we come into contact with to belief as we do.
Joan and Rollo told of a similar incident like you had with Fahed. They had been called to pray with a man they had witnessed to but he died before they got there. They just had to hope that perhaps he had come on his own to the Lord. Only on the other side will we know. Please know as I am sure you do, that God is in control and does not leave others Salvation up to us though he wants us to obey his command to witness. I am sure you know that but at a time like this is is easy to forget that. Our hearts go out to you for we know your passion for the Lord.
I am so very sorry to hear about these families. I will keep them in my prayers as I am keeping you and yours also. I pass along some of your emails to my Christian friends so that they may also pray for you.
At AWANA's last Wednesday, several kids accepted Christ after viewing the Jesus film. Some of them are from such mixed up families that it is a wonder just how they manage to survive, let alone are strong enough to try to walk by faith. Please pray that they will grow. One family has twin brothers that are in 4th grade. Their mother speaks little English and the father is absent from the home. I am hoping that they will continue to come to our Wednesday night class and grow.
Dear Mike and Sue,
I am grieving with you over Fahed's passing, and for the emptiness that will try to consume Hyame. We will pray for Fahed's ten children. Now for dear Sami. We mourn with you that his heart was so tortured. Yes, we agree that God will use you, Mike and Sue, to be God's servants in every situation and with his perfect timing. He knows your hearts, Mike and Sue. He knows your burden for lost souls. He loves you both.
In Christ's Unlimited Love,
Susie
Wow, Mike, that is painful. I'll pray for you tonight.

Richard
