Sue robbed at traffic light

Sue was stopped in traffic at a large intersection, when a man who appeared to be a beggar with a wounded arm, forced open the driver side rear section of the convertible top of her Suzuki Samurai. It was pouring down rain. The assailant was wearing a bandage wrapped around his entire right arm.

She screamed and honked her horn as he crawled into her car. No one helped her. She pulled her cell phone out of her purse to call me. Then the light turned green. She tried to escape, while he continued to climb into her car. He was able to enter and jumped into the front seat, as she crossed the intersection. Continuing to scream at him, she stopped around the corner and shoved the tall man out of her car.

She was so shook up that she was unable to call me on her phone. She drove straight home. Then she saw her purse was gone. She told Joshua and his French tutor to call me. I drove directly to the scene of the crime. The police were already there for another robbery, maybe even the same thief. They explained to me that the bandage was probably concealing a steel bar used to bust open car windows to steal purses. They left to search for the thief.

I couldn't get Sue to answer our house phone. I assumed her cell phone was stolen with her purse. So I drove home. Sue, Joshua and the tutor were gone.

She left with them to search for the thief and her favorite purse! They found witnesses who saw the man with her purse, but they didn't find the thief.

Heavenly Father, give Sue peace after this traumatic event. Help her to sleep and feel Your protection. Deliver the Farhos from danger. In Jesus Name! Amen.

I am so glad she is safe! Tell her I am praying for her to be at peace again. This is such a scary idea - that a person would be so violent and horrible.

Dear Mike,
I am so very sorry to hear of this frightening attack of the enemy. God WILL heal Sue's emotions and He has her safe keeping in His control. When we look back over our lives, we see many instances how our heavenly Father delivered us from evil! Hallelujah! This is probably harrassment from the enemy because of the godly college team coming to your town to bring the Light of Jesus with them. Dear and Mighty Heavenly Father, we plead the precious Blood of the Lamb over the entire Farho family, and over the college team coming, and over the ear and foot problem of Mike, and over Sue, Joshua, and John. We praise You that "Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world." Nothing will stop Your gospel from being spread or the Light from shining! Glorify Yourself, Lord, in this frightening experience that Sue had, and may You receive all glory, all honor, and all praise in what You are bringing to pass in these next few weeks. In Jesus' Mighty and Victorious Name we pray. Amen and amen.

In the Name of Jehovah-sabbaoth (Lord of Hosts),

Your Sister and Prayer Partner, Love, Susie with Lou

MIke, what time of day did this happen? I really felt the need to pray for someone today, but did not know who it was. I realized at that point that God knew and his Spirit was praying through me to intercede for someone. Maybe it was Sue. I pray she will recover from this terrible situation and that she will be able to get any valuables back that she lost. Poor girl! Lord Jesus, please help her. Surround her with your Holy Spirit and with your love. Protect her and keep the rest of the family. In Jesus' name, Amen.

We can certainly identify and sympathize with you re the robbery event, having been robbed once when we were in Freetown, S.L. As long as one is in a place of ministry like where you are, one can expect such harassment.

You certainly have our sympathies and our prayers. May the Lord's peace be yours as you recover from this event.

Why God permits such happenings, we don't always know. But we know that He knows and that He cares, and we have to leave the results with Him. Just know that your missionary family fully understands and are supporting you both before the Throne.

Thanks for letting us be part of the support team at this time. And may you find His presence to be very real to you today!

Love and prayers,
Dave and Peggy

It makes us sad to hear this story, as we heard same thing from other missionary friends in Kenya last year.

So apparently this is a very common tactic there. Thot I sent U that story last year, but not sure.

Read this AM in QT to be thankful for sufferings as they prove we R still alive ;)

But very painful to go thru.

Thank you for sharing what happened to your wife. My heart goes out to her. I am so sorry this has happened. I feel as if Ii know her although we've never met.. Please extend to her my heart felt prayer.

Dear Father,
I left up Sue before your throne. I thank you that her life was spared and no harm came to her physically. I ask that you heal the trauma and sense of violation that has occurred. I also ask that the memories would be healed as well. I come against the enemy of her emotions and in the spirit I put a stop the his torment. Each time he would try to have her relive the event that has happened I ask that she would have an overwhelming sense of your love and feel your protective arms around her. Reverse what the enemy has tried to do and turn it for your good. I ask that fear would not grip her heart and as she passes that intersection again and you would speak a word of comfort to her. Give her peace as she sleeps at night knowing you are watching over her. I ask this in your Holy name...Amen

Please have her read Psalm 91 before she goes to bed.

Your Sister in Christ,
Patti

I can relate a little to this because I lived in Las Vegas, NV and a man crawled in the passenger side of my car with me and my little girl. He tried to get the keys from me. We screamed and screamed and he finally left. I carried pepper spray ever where I went after that. Children are worth a lot on the black market and that was what he wanted. It was at a 7-11 stop and go. My prayers are with you. Its something you don't forget.

God Bless you and all you do for our Lord Jesus.
