Measles and Travel

I don't think our John and Joshua ever had measles. Sue and I did. How about you? Nassif (12 years old) has a bad case of measles (is actually Chickenpox). He and his dad Fauzi haven't been able to sleep, because of the irritation. Poor Nassif just had Malaria recently too.

Radwan is trying to get ready for his family's departure to Lebanon next Monday. There are many problems that are making it difficult. A tax collector showed up today with a bill for over $5,000. He is trying to sell his wife's car to pay for all their plane tickets. She and their children will stay in Lebanon.

Heavenly Father, thank You for being Nassif's healer. Give him relief from his itching sores. Radwan thanks You for meeting all his needs. He and we are counting on Your provision for his financial needs.

God bless those who need Jehovah-rapha's healing touch.  Heal what we can see with our eyes, Lord, and heal what goes on inside of our bodies with this illness.  Protect them from the sometimes severe side-effects, and especially the precious young one who is recovering from Malaria.  Oh, Lord, what would we ever do without Your divine love and healing power?!  You are greatly to be praised!!  Father, also, be The Very Present Help in the time of trouble for the family trying to move to Lebanon.  May the tax collector show mercy, and may provision be completely given.  In Jesus' Mighty Name.  Amen.
Please pray for our daughter, Courtney, who will undergo surgery on July 17th unless God heals her beforehand.  That He will hold her in His hands.

Thank you, and God bless you all!  In His Love, Susie w/Lou

I just spoke to someone I work with who is a nurse...Calimine Lotion will help with the itching...The son is OK having measels but the father if over the age of 20 need medical help fast...I was told he should go to the emergency hospital and be treated if there is one. It could be dangerious for someone who is older...

I think I had measles but our kids were vaccinated against it. It can be deadly for some people. Hope your friends get better soon and are able to avoid malaria in the meantime. Thanks for keeping us updated. In HIM, Marilyn

Yahweh, make Yourself real to these families.  Only You can show up... not man!  WE thank You in advance for meeting these prayer requests.  WE trust You and You alone!

Measles have almost been aradicated in the USA however; this is a perfect example not all other countries have vaccines so a college in May had a major out break.

I had measles as a child.  Neither of our sons have had them but the were immunized as babies and I believe had to have a booster shot while they were still in school.  Our  brother-in-law ended up getting them as an adult but I don't think their sons had them.  I know that Ric was miserable.

That is interesting about the tax collector.  That seems a little strange to me.  My prayers are with you.  Jean

Yes, I have had measles and they are no fun. I just prayed fro Nassif & Fauzi, I hope the Lord gives them some relief. How does the tax collector just show up and give you a bill for $5000? Don't they have any warning or communication  about this? Will Radwan's wife come back at all or will they stay in Lebanon for a very long period of time because of the taxes? It seems strange to me that the people leave their homes and go to stay in other places, guess I do not understand the situation there.

God Bless you, Tim & Kim

Good Morning Mike!  Seems there are complications all over the world!  Measles are a bummer, itchy, uncomfortable & you feel terrible all the time!  Do you mean the authorities just walk up to your door & tax you?  No warning?  Not many folks have $5000 laying around - in todays market it takes all we have just to live.  Times have certainly changed around the world - they will never be as we knew them again.  The election process back here is DEPRESSING!!!
