Modeste Church School

I have an important meeting Wednesday with the head elder of the Modeste Bambara C&MA Church. The Christ Community Church 808 Team was able to leave some cash to do some work on their school building. They want to fix up their one room classroom a little before school starts again this fall. It is an exciting project. The Ivorian government likes the school so much that they provide a teacher! That is a really big deal, since the church and the villagers can't afford a salary for a teacher. They grow vegetables for the Abidjan market.

Heavenly Father. Thank You for the generosity of Christ Community Church and their college students. Use this C&MA school to train boys and girls to read, so they can read Your Word and mature in Christ.

Praise the Lord for using the Christ Community Church in such a wonderful way!
We surely need good schools for our children, as well as Christ-centered churches for them!
Love and Prayers,  Dorothy

Hey Mike,

Please continue the updates. I'm glad to see God working. I've been praying that you would have contacts with the government. I'm not sure why God has led me to pray this way, but he did.

Am praying,  Praise god for his provision and care of his people.  May this be a strong testimony to what God can do.

Thanks for the updates, Mike & Sue. I will be praying for the Modeste church and school.

Father, continue to bless the Modeste Church and school.  Thank You that the government looks with favor on the school. Lord God, please let Your Word and the ways of Christ become the Word and the Way for all the students of the Modeste Church and School. This is Your project, Lord. Thanks for giving the Christ Community Church a role in enhancing this school.  Bless the 808 Team and continue to spiritually grow them, also.
In the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord.
Amen.

It sounds like the Missions Group left good deeds to follow their trip there. Hope much good will come from it.
Love, Fae

Dear Mike and Sue,

What's the latest on the taxi strike? Still disrupting things?

Hit the ground running upon my return...involvement in two big conferences at Glen Eyrie.

Looking forward to our girls coming for 10+days in Aug.

Thanks again for the wonderful time with you and the great Lebanese good.

Love,
Karen

Hi Karen.
The taxi strike ended Sunday night. The government lowered the price of fuel a little bit.
