Pray for Joshua. He has Malaria
Please pray for Joshua. He has Malaria. We gave him a treatment right away. We're trusting in God to heal him. More than seven young children die every hour of Malaria in Cote d'Ivoire.
Heavenly Father, we trust You to heal Joshua and take away his severe headache and nausea. Help him to get back on his feet again. In Jesus name. Amen!

Dear Joshua,
We are so sorry to learn that you are sick with Malaria. Our Heavenly Father knows just what you need to get well (Matthew 6:32b). You can imagine that this card talks about being sick instead of being worried. However, most of us worry about being sick and God knows all about it and promises to take care of us. One of our favorite verses for tough times is Psalm 62:8, Trust in Him at ALL times...God is our refuge." Those ALL times include sad times, happy times, sick times, and well times. Trust Him to help you get well! We will be praying for you and for your family, Joshua!

Praying for Joshua. My husband was an MK and I've heard his tales of having malaria, not fun. God please touch Joshua and heal his body. Give him rest and may his body be repsonive to the treament. When Joshua was with you at our church in Lex.NC he was such a vibrant,seemingly fun-loving little boy. Oh, my dears, we most certainly will be in prayer for Joshua. It seems like only yesterday we were in prayer for the same reason. It has to be really tough on him and really tough on loving parents. He is so blessed to have you two. And while I know he is adopted I recall when you came to our church in Fremont and I did not know he was adopted and I remarked to friends how much he looks like you Mike. I am sure he has picked up a lot of your mannerisms and the admiration for you also probably shines through. I will ask all I can think of to do that.

Remember that God's assurance is like a rock. It is foundational. Your son Joshua will be okay. Take care of him because you know it is an attack from the enemy. You need to help him with his faith. We as parents know God takes care of us. Their faith is not always that matured. I don't know Joshua personally and I am the last to judge anyone's faith. Yet I do have a 21 year old son and a 18 year old daughter. Just know that this news did hit me strongly. I love you like family knowing the great work and obedience you had to have had--to answer the call to work in Abijan.
I am so glad I went to church today and I offer my prayer and my own will to follow God's plan for your son's quick recovery.

i will certainly keep joshua in my prayers for continued healing of his shoulder and a miraculous healing from malaria...i pray everyone will be kept safe and under the protection of the Holy Spirit.
We will surely pray for Joshua. it is good you started treatment right away, so hopefully it will be gone soon. Praise God that John's shoulder is about healed and he is back at work. God is good! I am so sorry to hear that Josh has Malaria. I will pray that he recovers speedily and that that the Lord will keep him from discomfort. Pray for my grandson who is 4, he too has been sick with phenomena and respiratory problems. Pastor Cory of Community Heights Alliance in Newton is in Africa this week with the Brafarts and Wrights. Pray that God will keep him, his wife and the other team members who are on a journey for the Lord safe. Pray that the Lord will be glorified through their ministry. May the Lord bless you all and keep you safe and surrounded in his love.

Thanks Paula. John is doing well. He hopes to go back to work with all his clients at Gold's Gym this week. The National Guard excused him from camp this month. He will be in his brace for the rest of the month at least.

Quick note to say that we have prayed and hope that Joshua is better! We're glad too that John's shoulder is doing well. Shoulders are harder to heal than hips, they say.

Dear Mike and Sue, I am so sorry to hear about Joshua. Of course I will remember him in my prayers. I don't know much about malaria, except that it is serious. However, we know that our GOD is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all that we ask :-) :-)
I trust that John is healing well. He has a busy schedule for one who is convalescing. Anyway, he is young and hopefully he will exercise caution and not push his limits.
