John turned 23 and is visiting us!

We've had some exciting days since we returned to hot and humid Abidjan. It is good to be back visiting our believers and friends again! We also enjoyed talking with our son John, who turned 23 on Dec. 12. He informed us that he will be visiting us from Dec. 20 through Jan. 9. The last time we had Christmas together was 2005, before he went to Iraq.

Our friend is leaving for his eye surgery in Togo on Saturday. They hope to be able to repair his vision.

Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing John to celebrate Christmas with Mike, Sue and Joshua. Protect John as he drives and flies many hours. Heal Mike's friend as he gets his laser retina surgery.

I am so excited for you, Sue, John & Joshua! What a great Christmas you will have!

I will be praying for your friend. We certainly take our vision for granted, don't we?

So glad to hear from you.  I almost didn't get this e-mail because it went straight to SPAM.  I usually just delete it but I looked today, and there you were, thank God for the prompt.

I know you are happy to be back with your friends.

How exciting that John is going to be with you for Christmas, that is absolutely wonderful.  Three years is a long time.

I will say a prayer for your friend's eye surgery.

Have a very Merry Christmas, and enjoy your family.

God bless you always.

Have a wonderful day,
Paula

Great to here your family will be together for Christmas. That always is nice. You could send just a little of that heat here. We had 25 below wind chill on Sunday and not sure when we will see 32 again. Have a Merry Christmas.

Praise God that John gets to come for Christmas! Do you know the real reason he is coming? We had our first snow today and he wanted to leave Nebraska. That's got to be it! Hope you have a great time! In HIM, Marilyn

Praising God with you and believing for a miracle with the eye surgery.  Wow Mike, what a testimony your family is.  How is Sue doing?  I know she was shaken up with the purse incident.  Just wanted to tell Sue Hello!

You guys are an encouragement to me.

Love, Leslie and Brian

How wonderful that John is able to spend Christmas with you!  God is good.  Hot and humid weather sounds good to us since we have been having minus 20 and 30 degrees below zero with windchill factors of 40 below.  And plenty of snow!

Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!

Merry Christmas!
We are happy John can be with you for Christmas. With only 7 days to go we are looking forward to hearing from many more friends. We have a wonderful heritage with our Christian brothers and sisters, each with their own busy lives, but time enough to greet one another once a year.
Love to all,
Doreen and Larry
