John turned 23 and is visiting us!

We've had some exciting days since we returned to hot and humid Abidjan. It is good to be back visiting our believers and friends again! We also enjoyed talking with our son John, who turned 23 on Dec. 12. He informed us that he will be visiting us from Dec. 20 through Jan. 9. The last time we had Christmas together was 2005, before he went to Iraq.
Our friend is leaving for his eye surgery in Togo on Saturday. They hope to be able to repair his vision.
Heavenly Father, thank You for allowing John to celebrate Christmas with Mike, Sue and Joshua. Protect John as he drives and flies many hours. Heal Mike's friend as he gets his laser retina surgery.

I will be praying for your friend. We certainly take our vision for granted, don't we?
So glad to hear from you. I almost didn't get this e-mail because it went straight to SPAM. I usually just delete it but I looked today, and there you were, thank God for the prompt.
I know you are happy to be back with your friends.

Congratulations on your son's birthday. I just turned 36 on Monday 12/15. I thank God for another birthday. As always take care and God bless. You are always in my prayers.
Praising God with you and believing for a miracle with the eye surgery. Wow Mike, what a testimony your family is. How is Sue doing? I know she was shaken up with the purse incident. Just wanted to tell Sue Hello!
You guys are an encouragement to me.
Love, Leslie and Brian
Sue is doing well. Thanks for asking. We do avoid that intersection where she was robbed.
Glad to hear that John gets to be home with you for Christmas. What a blessing!
We have snow and cold here. Makes for some fun sledding :) We think of you folks often.
Love,
Sandy
How wonderful that John is able to spend Christmas with you! God is good. Hot and humid weather sounds good to us since we have been having minus 20 and 30 degrees below zero with windchill factors of 40 below. And plenty of snow!
Have a wonderful and blessed Christmas!
Ada, Noelle and Brian
Dear Mike. Sue. Josh. and John, We enjoy getting your e-mails and do pray for the requests. We are all doing fine but are kept very busy. I think we had it easier before we retired. It's great that John can come and spend Christmas with you all. Be sure and give him our love! We are praying for Mike's friend as he gets this laser surgery, May the Lord give you a joyous Christmas and a great New Year! Lots of love, Dave and Jan
Great news! I'm so glad you get to have John for Christmas. Enjoy your family time.
Merry Christmas!
We are happy John can be with you for Christmas. With only 7 days to go we are looking forward to hearing from many more friends. We have a wonderful heritage with our Christian brothers and sisters, each with their own busy lives, but time enough to greet one another once a year.
Love to all,
Doreen and Larry
Quick note to say Welcome to John. So glad that you are having this time together this year at Christmas. Love and prayer, Kathy
