Such great people!

Someone asked me, as they were leaving church Sunday, "How do you get such great people to serve with you at the Sousse Church? The praise and worship team and hospitality folks are all wonderful!" We are so happy to have people who love Jesus and live in Sousse, serve Him at the Sousse Church. Pray that God would provide even more gifted people with a servant's heart to do the work of the ministry in His Church.

Heavenly Father, use my gifts for Your glory right here in my community. Make my church and the Sousse Church to be salt and light in our cities. Encourage many to attend our churches for Easter services.

Starting Spoken Arabic School

Sousse
Sousse Medina image via Wikipedia

We are grateful to God for our new language study option. The director and founder of a local private school is learning the method we use to learn spoken Arabic. I, Mike, had my first class with him today. He did an excellent job. Once he learns to use the method, he will train Tunisians to be language helpers at his school. Sue and Joshua are excited to move on to a higher level in their Arabic studies.

Heavenly Father, help this school to use this method to teach many to speak Arabic. Give the director much good fruit for his labors and Your glory. Give the Farhos and the other homeschool families a great day at the Friguia Animal Park tomorrow.

Would you like to come to Sousse for a one to four week intensive course in Tunisian Arabic? Let us know! We'll help you line up all you need.

Boil on My Face

Mike's Ugly Painful Boil with makeup.

Last week, a spot below my right eye started hurting. I thought it might be too much chocolate, giving me a pimple. :-) It got more and more sore as the week went on. My face got so swollen, I thought I might be getting the Mumps. It started to come to the surface on Friday. So I treated it will hydrogen peroxide and antibiotic ointment. Today, it is much better, but Sue is putting makeup on it so it isn't too ugly. Today we talked with John on the Internet and showed him my sore. It was a boil! A boil involves an infected hair follicle.

Heavenly Father, thank You that Mike's Boil wasn't as bad as it could have been. Make it to heal well and not to come back! Help them to get their car soon.

Joshua's First Violin Lesson

Joshua, playing his violin for the first time.

It was fun to go for his lesson. A family has a music school in their home. The three year old was quite entertaining, while his mom was on Skype and his dad was teaching Joshua. When the Dad was playing Joshua's violin, Josh said, "I like the Russian violin music the best." On the way home, he said, "Dad, tell everybody I was smiling and skipping my way home from my first violin lesson!"

Heavenly Father, use these new classes as an opportunity for Joshua, Mike and Sue to be Salt and Light in Tunisia. Give Joshua a fun time at his new karate class tomorrow.

New Teachers

Because you prayed, we found three new teachers this morning! We're thrilled to find these people to teach Joshua Violin, Karate and Arabic. What a combination! After Joshua's run-in with a group of bullies yesterday, he sees his need to get back in shape. He is also excited about learning to play violin. He learned, after we bought his violin, that his best friend also plays one. All three of us are excited to start our new Arabic study program next week.

Heavenly Father, Thank You for answering our prayers for these new teachers. Give Mike, Sue and Joshua ALL the gifts they need to learn ALL their new lessons.
