Farho Farewell on Sunday

Our four months in USA are almost over. This weekend will be our last Sunday in Omaha. It would be a great joy to give you a hug goodbye. If you can be in Omaha on Sunday May 17 at 6pm, you are warmly invited to our farewell reception.

Heavenly Father, we trust You to bring many of Mike and Sue's friends and partners out to say goodbye for another two years. Bless each partner, near and far, as they make the Farho's ministry possible in North Africa.

Pray for Pierre's family

Thank you so much for your prayers for Pierre. I spoke with his family on Sunday, after I got the news of his death. His brother Paul thanks you for your kindness and prayers. Lift them up to the Lord as they grieve their heavy loss. Your prayers encourage us as we are so far away from our fiends in Abidjan.

Heavenly Father, we're grateful that You are there comforting this family as they grieve their loss. Give joy and faith to the children and adults who made decisions to seek full time ministry overseas last week in Des Moines. Encourage Mike and Sue as they prepare for their departure on June 4 to Tunisia. Provide all the prayer and financial support they need for their future ministry.

With Canadian Thanksgiving and USA Columbus Day yesterday, we're thinking about the things for which we are grateful. Right on the top of our list is your ministry, as one of our prayer partners. Alliance World Week of Prayer

Alliance Churches are joining together for prayer April 27-May 4, 2008. The USA National Day of Prayer is May 1, 2008. Your prayer support is vital to our ministries in Abidjan and around the world. Without your prayers, the struggles of life in Africa would destroy us. God is using your prayers to keep us here on the front line in Cote d'Ivoire.

Heavenly Father, give us Your heart for prayer and the needs of the lost. Encourage us to pray often for Mike and Sue and others serving You around the world.

Secret of God's blessing

Charles Spurgeon, whose ministry in 19th-century London led thousands into the Kingdom of God, is considered by many to be the greatest preacher in modern history.
A group of American pastors once approached him at his church.

"What is the key to your ministry?" they asked.

"Come with me and I will show you," he responded...

As he led them through a large building, some of the pastors may have expected him to show them the church's beautiful sanctuary, but he walked right past it. Would he show them the treasurer's books or his extensive library? No... he ignored all these.

With the curious pastors in tow, Spurgeon arrived at a room in the lower level of his meeting house.

Throwing open the door, he revealed over 400 believers gathered on "THEIR" knees in prayer for the evening service.

"There," he said humbly, "is the secret of God's blessing His work here."

Claimed healing for my back

Thank you for sending us your prayer requests. We are honored to get them, and to pray for you and others.

Praise God Fauzi's back is better!

When I, Nellie, read your e-mail, I was so thankful as I read the first line of it..."Do we need to pray for your back too?" I said 'yes' outloud and claimed healing for my back that had some of the same symptoms that Fauzi had. I shared this with my Pastor at our International Conference where we were having our International Dinner with the Grace Alliance Church in Lexington, just as we did when you were here last year. This morning my neck, back, hip and leg are almost well. I am going to ask for anointing at our time at church tonight!

Thank you for taking time to pray for others back here. God says He will not forget your labor of love; I believe that means every aspect of your ministry. God bless, protect, encourage, and give you His strength as you and your family continue to work for him. Nellie and Ken

Experienced His healing touch

Thank God, I have experienced His healing touch, from an upper Resperatory infection. I also praise Him that He protected Wade from being sick. I am now feeling well and growing stronger each day. The day your e-mail came and you prayed for everyone in pain I was not able to check my e-mail, but God heard your prayer. All your family is often in our prayers. We're so very grateful for your love and prayers! You are really a great prayer partner! I guess if I can tell a policeman/soldier on the side of the road in Abidjan that I love him, we can admit we love you too! We truly do thank God for you daily. You are making a tremendous difference for eternity in the lives of many men, women, boys and girls here in Cote d'Ivoire. Through your prayers and gifts, we are your voice, hands and feet in West Africa.

Our Baptist friends send you a big thank you. They told me to tell you, "God answered your prayers in a big way!" She had surgery on Friday and was up and walking around on Saturday.
