Farho Update Opinions

We're enjoying Fall weather for the first time as residents in Africa. We froze here in Tunisia last Fall, when we were studying Arabic here. Now we really are enjoying it :-)

Please reply with your opinions or post them as comments for all to read at here!

Is Jesus Coming Today?

Joshua asked me that question, because of some weird thunder this morning. It sounded like a jet aircraft hovering above our city. It roared on and on for more than ten minutes, with no lightning visible. I told Joshua, "Maybe He is coming today!"

On Sundays, my benediction comes from 1Thes. 3:12-13  And the Lord give you increase of love in fullest measure to one another and to all men, even as our love to you; (13)  So that your hearts may be strong and free from all sin before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all his saints.

Heavenly Father, thank You for the Holy Spirit's power in us to love YOU and ALL men and women from every nation. Give Mike, Sue and Joshua great joy as they serve believers from many nations at the Sousse Church.

Send us your questions advice, comments or prayer requests!

We wish you a Joyful Christmas!

As we considered taking a photo of our family to send you, we decided that it wasn't a good idea. Sue is the only one wearing a shirt! As many of our partners are shivering with record cold temps, we are sweating in the typical tropical heat of Abidjan. We've had daily rain and RealFeel(R) temps over 105°F, with the humidity dripping at about 90%. Do you feel warmer yet?

You warm our hearts as we thank our Heavenly Father for you. Your prayers are the best gift we receive each day. May our Father's love warm your hearts, even in the frigid areas of His creation. May your Christmas be filled with His abounding joy!

With love and gratitude,
Mike, Sue, John, and Joshua Farho

Joshua didn't want to leave Kairouan

It's great to see how Joshua makes friends. He's a great example to all of us. He said, "I would rather keep freezing to death in Kairouan, than leave my friend!" He was thrilled today to play with his best friend in Tunis. We're looking forward to seeing our friends in Abidjan too!

http://AccuWeather.com says the RealFeel® Temperature is 48°F in Tunis and 105°F in Abidjan. So you know we will have another major adjustment to make as we fly back to Abidjan on Thursday. We also have important meetings starting on Sunday.

Heavenly Father, help the Farhos adjust smoothly as they return to their home in Abidjan. Give them strength and joy for their meetings.

Freezing in Africa

With our weather always hot in Abidjan, we've not thought freezing here was possible. This morning we woke up in our unheated apartment to 62F and shivering.

On the other hand, we're really grateful for this Arabic course. It is very encouraging for us. It makes what seemed impossible seem easy.

Heavenly Father, keep the Farhos warm and healthy!
